After having my horse in a Tennessee Walking horse barn for several months and being told that putting heavy shoes on my horse was the only way to make him properly gait, I finally started doing my own research on the subject. Now I am avid believer in natural hoof care and I keep both my walking horse and Icelandic barefoot.
Unfortunately, my walking horse is naturally tender footed, so when we ride on anything but grass, I put on my Easyboot Epics. I call them his sneakers. Not only are they easy to put on, but I love the traction I get on pavement.
