Update on Granite Chief

7,000+ miles and still going!

I sure do like keeping all of my endurance horses barefoot. It sure has simplified things - no more shoeing schedule to worry about! It has also been so good for their overall health and well being. I use Easyboot Epics, Bares and regular Easyboots on Chief and my other horses. I boot all four of his feet for his endurance competitions. In the last year or so I started using the dome shaped Comfort Pads and found that to be a great combination especially on the really hard packed and rocky rides.

AERC Convention and Tradeshow

Live Hoofboot Demonstrations

The Reno Convention Center allowed EasyCare to bring Chief inside the booth. For the second year in a row, Chief did a great job assisting with boot demonstrations! Chief received recognition from AERC for reaching 7,000 miles in the 2007 ride season. The majority of his miles have been in EasyCare hoof boots!

This photo shows Chief walking around the tradeshow and visiting with the closest thing he could find to another equine. He quite enjoyed getting to shop and visit with the other vendors - especially the ones with feed samples!

Easyboot Epics versus Easyboot Bares

Which one is for you?

epic-v-bare-brbg.jpg

One question I get pretty frequently is whether or not somebody should use Epics, or Bares on their horse.

Easyboot Edge Update

Development of the new Edge boot has taken longer than anticipated. While thousands of miles have been ridden in the Edge, (including successful completions of dozens of endurance rides by various riders) we are still finding areas to improve and are considering other options and innovative ideas. These things take time and we want to make sure we have a product we are happy with prior to releasing it to a larger test group. Once we do that, we'll need another 90 days (at least) to allow them time to use the product and provide feedback. I'm sorry that it's taking so long. I just wanted everybody to know so that they aren't waiting to get one of the new boots.
