Many horse owners are under the impression that hoof boots are merely a "spare tire" for their horses--a quick fix when a shoe is thrown or lost. But today's hoof boots have revolutionary technology that not only makes them easier to use in case of emergency, but also alternative solutions for some horses' shoeing needs. While hoof boots have been around since the days of disco, new designs, materials and styles have evolved to suit more horses and riders than ever, with improvements to fit, function and ease of use.

My horse - Erin - wore the boots on the second day of a hill trip and we went over all sorts of ground and they stayed put firmly the whole way which was roughly 20 miles of tough going. Bogs, boulders, stoney tracks and EXTREMELY steep descents! As you can see by the pic....... I was awfully glad of the drain holes!!!

The Boa Boots are fantastic for these large draft breeds. The draft horses aren't always known for great feet because of the weight that they support. Nailing shoes on these big guys sometimes adds insult to injury as the feet already crack and chip so bad that nails make this worse..
