A few years ago when the Boa boot was new to the market, I was given a pair to try out as a dressage enthusiast and I was asked to give a testimonial. My testimonial got way-layed as my dressage horse developed a injury that took considerable time to heal and I really didn't get to give the boots a fair trial.

Since my mare has recovered, I have now had a chance to use the boots and think they are excellent for dressage. Unlike many other boots on the market, the Boas are not bulky so my horse is not interfering as when she does complex lateral movements. They are so easy to get on and off and so non-restrictive to the horse's way of going - I am truly impressed.

Thank you so much for allowing me to try out these boots and also comment on them for dressage. I would strongly recommend that other dressage riders allow their horses to go barefoot if possible and to use these boots on footing that is not the best. It will be a lot healthier for the horse in the long run if it can be comfortably managed this way. Since most dressage horses spend little time on hard ground and most time in arenas, the Boa is about perfect for protection during work and barefoot at leisure.
