TestimonialWell, lets just say... I love them. I have not had the Easyboot Gloves very long and I have only used them on my mare's fronts. All we have been able to do is some conditioning rides, but I have been very happy with the way they have performed so far.
We have a 75 miler coming up (Feb 14) and I intend to use them on her fronts for that ride. They fit my mare's feet very well. I have put them through some nasty mud holes and places where she drinks and sinks and they have not been sucked off yet.
The materials seem to holding up well. I don't know if the gaiter has been updated or not but it seems to be holding up well also. I have had no rubs on the sides of her hooves as I do with the Epics (haven't figured out really why that happens) but the only place I have had a problem with is the screw that holds the gaiter to the boot in back by the heel bulbs. I have had to put duct tape over the screw head to keep that from rubbing, as on the longer distances we have done in the boots, it does rub pretty good.
Putting them on is a snap and getting them off is even easier. I love that and the fact that they are very light. The boots do not affect my mare's motion in the least. They are very clean looking and I find myself having to make sure there is even a boot on her foot.
All in all I give them a big thumbs up especially for the ease to put on and take off and their weight (I've been a fan of the Bares for some time but they have always seemed heavy to me). The only thing I can see to be a problem and I have talked to others about it, is the screw in the back that tends to rub on the heel bulbs. That is the only problem I have encountered with them so far.
I have taken some pictures after our ride this morning to include with the boots on and the boots off. (the other black thing on her leg is my gaiter sock). would love to get another set for her back feet to test out, since her feet are of different shape (as all horses front and rears are).Iit would be interesting to see the differences if any in the way they fit and work. I'm looking forward to testing these out on a 75 mile ride!
