“Back in December 2004, Leshal Ikon's shod hooves were brittle, his heels were contracted and he had a serious vertical crack in each front foot. He often stood with his front legs back under him - a clear symptom of heel pain. Here we are 8 months later in August, 2005 riding over extremely rugged tracks and hard roads due to drought in an Australian 3 day marathon ride called the Shahzada 130km trainer.

However, Ikon is not completely through the rehabilitation (transition) stage so I like to use Easyboot Epics or Bares on his front feet where ever the track is particularly compacted and stony. 2005 was the first year that two barefoot horses successfully completed the trainer."
