“My husband and I had an interesting experience this summer with our Easyboot Epics. We have been using boots for about four years now instead of shoeing. We have 2 tough hoofed Arabians and go 8 months of the year barefoot , but for 4 months of the summer we take as many trips as we can into the backcountry of British Columbia and Alberta. This year one of the trips was a 6 day adventure to the Red Deer River country of Alberta, bordering the Banff National Park.

The trails are great and so much exploring to be done, however the terrain is extremely rocky, going from gravel to sharp rocks to mud to river beds.

Our Easyboots Epics did awesome! Were so glad we had the Epics as we never lost one or had any problems in 6 long days.

However the interesting part was in the campground. Its an equestrian set up with many horses and people. It didn’t take long for other riders to notice our “Booties”. It started out with a few riders asking the usual questions ,like do they stay on? Do they rub? Are they better than shoes? Etc.

Well, we answered them, and we wished we had stock in the company, because so many riders were interested. I ended up giving away all my own information booklets that come with the boots. And soon every morning when we put the boots on and every time we got back to camp, we had a little crowd around for an impromptu “demonstration session”.

Interestingly most of the riders had the same issues with shoeing that we did.Its hard to find a good farrier. And when you do its so expensive for just one or two trips a year, and many times you have to get at least one re-set in a season. And many of the riders we met had horses that they had trouble keeping a shoe on.

Anyway we are sold on our ‘boots’. And we had a great trip and met lots of interesting people, and I’m sure we sold a few Easyboots too!"
