Hi, my name is Marg Richardson and I am a trimmer from Tasmania Australia who trims and supplies boots to my clients.
Attached are pictures of Wixon a Hafflinger and Rebel an appaloosa. These horses are owned by two lovely sisters Asha and Danielle. Both these girls have always had their horses shod but neither horse was sound and even though they had heard good reports, both were very hesitant to try barefoot trimming.
Rebel had had a series of lameness issues, thin walls and soles and couldn't keep shoes on. He had basically been put in the paddock as too hard to keep sound and Asha's heart was broken that she couldn't continue to ride her buddy in all the things she loved to do.
Wixon was diagnosed with pedal osteitis 2 years ago and told he needed bar shoes and would probably not be able to jump again.
Rebel and Wixon received their first barefoot trim 3 months ago and epic boots were fitted. Rebel is now being ridden in the arena and we are looking at fitting hind boots so he can get into some serious riding - such is the success with the boots.
Wixon is jumping out of his paddock!! Not bad for a horse who needed to be sedated to be shod!
These two lovely girls now have their horses back thanks to natural trimming and Easycare Epics.
