“We purchased our first set of Easyboots for Starlight… a Welsh/Quarter Horse Pinto that has never had shoes but was having a lot of problems with stone bruises. We had flooding here in Seguin, TX…and went riding in August…Starlight, of course, was wearing his Easyboots. We started on the property and my horse started to slip but was fine, the further we got on the to the place the more the horses started to sink, it was getting very scary.
We tried to get to higher ground be we got ourselves into a deeper mess. The horses were now struggling and were up to their bellies in a muddy bog. Starlight was out in front and was up to his chest in mud lounging and leaping but he got out… No broken [legs] or torn ligaments, and Starlight’s Easyboots were still on!
I loved how well the Easyboots worked for Starlight, so I bought a pair for my mare… I went on one day of the trail ride to the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo. It was raining that day and cold. I put the boots on and had no problems. Most of the other horses were slipping on the wet pavement, but we were fine. I have not had shoes on either one of [the horses] since I got the boots.
