My 3 year old Spotted Saddle Horse "They Call Me Roy" is ridden barefoot and in Easyboot Epics and Old Mac hoof boots. He has fantastic hooves and can be trail ridden on very rocky terrain barefoot but I like the extra protection he gets from the hoof boots... (read more)
We have two Rocky Mountain Horse mares (half-sisters) who have always been barefoot and I do my own trimming. Although we don't have to use boots that often as their feet are in very good shape and can handle most terrain, we do put them on when we are riding in an area with which we are unfamiliar and we always carry our boots with us, "just in case"...(read more)
