WHICH BOOT IS RIGHT FOR YOU?

EasyCare Hoof Boots

newtoboots-sm.jpgFirst things first, you need to ask yourself "What do I need my boots to do?" How you intend on using your hoof boots will be the greatest determining factor for which of our horse boot styles will be the most suitable.

All of our hoof boots are perfect for providing protection, traction and allowing your horse to travel in comfort, but how you plan to use them will help narrow down your choices.

How much traction do you need? Do you need a boot that is simple and goes on with minimal fuss? Do you need a boot that will fit below the hairline and endure hundreds of miles of hard riding? Are you looking for a boot in which to soak your injured horse's hooves?

To help make it easier for you to see each boot's features, we've broken it down into a few simple categories. Browse below:

>>Please note:

Each boot has its own unique size chart. Proper sizing is essential to your boot's success!

So many uses! The Easyboot, Easyboot Epic, Easyboot Bare, Easyboot Grip, the Boa Horse Boot and Old Mac’s are all designed to be used as alternatives to metal horseshoes, but they offer much more. Each boot provides excellent hoof protection for both occasional and everyday riding—and can be used in the correction and treatment of founder, navicular disease, punctures, abscesses, bruises, contracted heels and other impact caused injuries. In addition, they provide protection during trailering, breeding and are a quick fix for the occasional lost shoe.

Our line of well-made boots offers a variety of different options to suit your needs. The Boa Horse Boot and Old Mac’s boast the easiest application and removal. They are also the ideal choice for fitting the abnormally shaped hoof. Easyboots offer a close fit that remains below the hairline. On an extended ride this eliminates the worry of rubbing. The Easyboot Epic is essentially the Easyboot with Easyboot Gaiter attached. Thus, it is ideal for the barefoot horse, muddy conditions or for a horse who is difficult to keep booted. The Easyboot Bare is a close fitting boot, though more difficult to initially put on, perfect for the barefoot horse and long distance rider. The Easyboot Grip, new for 2007, features a more aggressive tread to provide traction for use in wet conditions such as rain, mud, snow and wet grass. For the times when your equine friends are on the mend, our EasySoaker is the best choice for holding medication and soaking.

Maximum Recommended Riding Distances

This is important to note since boots that ride above the hairline have the potential to rub over extended distances.

Other Important Considerations

  • Although Easyboots are more challenging to apply and remove, all portions of the boot fit below the hairline and eliminate rubbing on extended rides.

  • The EasySoaker is the best choice for holding medication and soaking.

  • The more traction a boot has, the quicker the tread will wear.
